The Rehabilitation Services Administration’s (RSA’s) 2006 National
Employment Conference, “Employment and Disability: Transition Into High Demand
Job Industries,” in partnership with the Council of State
Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) is the sixth in a
series of employment conferences that began in 1996. The conference brings
together business leaders, representatives of public vocational rehabilitation
agencies and other stakeholders with an interest in the transition and
employment of students and young adults with disabilities and showcases
successful programs for young people with disabilities interested in high growth
industry careers. Through interactive training and focused small group sessions,
conferees will learn effective strategies for achieving successful post-school
outcomes for youths and young adults with disabilities.
The following high-growth industries will be featured:
· Hospitality and service;
· Healthcare;
· Banking and finance; and
· Science and technology.
The 2006 National Employment Conference will be held August 21-23 at the Key
Bridge Marriott Hotel, 1401 Lee Highway Arlington, VA 22209.
