Supervisor's Position in Minnesota
The Minnesota Business Enterprises Program is looking for a well qualified person to fill the Supervisor's position. The current Supervisor, Stan Nichol, has indicated to the Director of WorkForce Development that he will be retiring in July, 2008. BEP has received permission to post and hire Stan's vacancy immediately so that a smooth transition of supervision for this unique and critical program can occur. Once a new Supervisor is hired, Stan will train this individual in the critical aspects of the Program unique to the BEP. In addition to training the new Supervisor, Stan will also perform some of the duties of a Management Coordinator.
The new Supervisor must complete four weeks of adjustment to blindness training, the BEP operator training program, and the supervisory management training required by the State. Additionally the new supervisor will need to meet every operator and spend time orienting to that operator's business. These required orientation and training activities will take approximately six to nine months to complete.
