Yesterday, the Senate marked up its economic recovery package in the
Appropriations Committee. Good news: the Senate bill, like the House
legislation, included $500 million for state VR grants.
Technically, anything that is identical in the House and Senate should be
included in the final legislation sent to the President. In practice, however,
changes can be made - and are. The Senate bill is $200 billion less than the
House bill, so compromises are going to have to be made before the process is
done. We don't want VR to be cut as part of those compromises!
I is now time to call your Senators and ask that they vote "yes" on
the stimulus package that includes $500 million for state VR grants.

Senate operator and ask to be connected to your Senator's office.
